Great question! In general, we believe at Somos Family Weddings & Events, the average budget of a couple getting married is $9,000-$15,000 for all wedding expenses (venue, food, dress, DJ, photographer,florist etc.). We have had some creative couples with smaller guests lists host beautiful weddings in the $6,000 - $9,000 range, and we have had lovely events here spending significantly more than the average. It all just depends on what is most important to the couple and where they choose to splurge.
You are free to choose your own vendors; however, we also have trusted vendors that we are happy to share with you. Whichever route you go, we encourage you to do your due diligence to make sure the vendor is a good fit for you and your vision for your big day.
There are several hotel and Airbnb options located within 12 miles of the venue.
Great question! Our Plan B Options:
If it is a small wedding, we are able to move everything under our open-air pavilion and then do a quick flip for the reception. For larger weddings, the couple will need to rent a tent.
You will have access to the venue at the time listed on your contract, not earlier. Please plan accordingly!

Booking FAQs

To book a date, email us at somosfamilync@gmail.com telling us which date you are ready to book. We suggest you also include a backup date in case your preferred date is unavailable.
Dates are reserved on a first requested basis. Should the same date be requested by multiple couples, the couple starting the contract process first will have first priority for the desired date.
Prior to booking a date, we hope you are able to come out in person to visit our venue. However, an in person tour is not required prior to booking a date. You can request a tour (or a Facetime tour if you live out of the area) on our tour request page.
Once the contract is signed, you will need to pay a $1,000 booking fee to secure your date. This fee goes toward the total cost of the rental. The remainder of the balance will be split into two installments with the final payment due 30 days prior to the event along with the refundable security deposit.
You are welcome to send smaller, partial payments of any amount prior to the specified due date, so in effect creating your own payment plan on your own schedule.

No. Cancellations are rare, but should a cancellation occur and a date become available, we will post it here.

You are free to choose your catering options from any licensed and insured vendors. However, you can see vendors we trust here.
Music and bar must conclude one hour prior to end of event to ensure that all vendors are able to be packed up and off the property when your rental time is up.
Yes and no. Live flame candles are allowed in the reception area as long as they are enclosed. Live flame candles are not allowed on the grounds or at ceremony sites to protect our trees. Tapered candles and any type of hanging candles will not be allowed for safety reasons.
All flameless candles are allowed anywhere on the venue property.
We are an outdoor venue with limited storage space. For that reason, all deliveries must happen during the standard rental period. Please advise your vendors of this policy.
Three weeks prior to event.
Somos Family will set up reception tables and chairs in chosen layout and ceremony chairs and arbor in place at chosen ceremony site.
Couples will be responsible for leaving property in the same order as it started. Somos Family will handle all trash removal throughout and following the wedding reception.
Absolutely! And we’re happy to make recommendations for some of our couple’s favorite spots.
We request that no holes are made in anything at the venue. Fishing line or something like command strips that will not cause any damage can be used. If in doubt, just ask.
